Yellowstone

During Labor Day weekend we camped in Island Park and went and toured  Yellowstone with Tyler's family.  We had so much fun and saw lots of Buffalo and Elk.  We of course went and saw Old Faithful, the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, Mammoth Springs, swam in the Firehole, and saw the shops in West Yellowstone.  We had a blast, Tyler kept asking me why I had never brought him when we were camping at Wade Lake. oops!

We also stopped to see my family and it Rained most of the day so we went swimming at High C (not sure how to spell it.)

Viking Man

I did my second Olympic Triathlon (1 mile swim, 28 mile bike and 6.5 mile run) and I forced Tyler to do it with me.  We did the Viking Man in Burley because it gave me time to train after having Kai.  It was an awesome course!! I want to do this one again next year! 

Tyler and I both got first place in our age divisions.  Don't be too impressed, there was 3 in Tyler's division and 5 in mine so there wasn't much competition. Tyler finished in 2:53 and I finished in 3:10. But we got cool granite tiles and sound like we are good.

I thought I would be walking across the finish line because I had a knee injury and  it hurt to run.
I walk/ran the the run and cried  a little because it hurt so bad and people kept passing me.

McCall

 In August my family made a trip up to McCall for a week.  We had so much fun all together.  Everyone was able to make it but Lindsey and Emilio. :(  

My parents rented a cabin right by town. e

I will list what we did each day here because the pictures aren't in order and I am lazy.

On Monday: everyone came, Tyler and I of course being the last after everyone was in bed.

Day 2:  We went on a hike to some waterfalls and hung out at the beach

Day 3:  My parents rented a boat with a tube and a skidoo and we had kayaks and we  had a beach day.

Day 4:  The Tyler's, Mom, and Dad went on a bike ride to a lake and the rest of us went to another trail with the kids and hung out at the beach.  Later that night Jessica, Britton, Tyler, Dad and I all went on a bike ride.

Day 5:  We went rafting and Kayaking at a water park in Cascade which turned out to be pretty epic

So This is what Maylee and Talon were like most the time; dirty from head to toe and getting into mischief.

This was a hollow tree the kids thought was fun to play in on our hike to the falls.  Hiking down, Talon had to step on every rock!

Tyler and I kayaked up the river a ways which was really pretty.  We met a lady that owned a restaurant up there that had milkshakes and they were really good.

Our evening ride I think it was called Bear Gulch

 Rafting down the river, we almost got everyone on this. The river was calm, we had fun jumping into the river to cool off.

The first time we went through this rapid it was smooth sailing.  The second time after we convinced my mom to go was a disaster.  They had let a little air out so when it his the rapid it folded in half sending my mom flying out and down the river, Carter fell out and got stuck under the raft and everyone but Jack fell out!! My Mom was floating down the river and when she got to a spot where she could get out a guy started lecturing her about wearing a helmet,  finally my mom said she didn't float down the river like that for fun and that she fell out of a raft.  It was pretty funny.

 Tyler and I ended up staying and Kayaking through the rapids for a while.  Tyler mastered rolling while in rapids and I went through a pretty big rapid and only fell out once!
