MOAB

2 weeks after graduation we went on a week-long vacation to

Moab with our friends, Emily and Rory O'Connor. It was a blast!

The first day we rode Slick Rock.

Tyler thought this part of the ride was pretty cool.

He was the only one who attempted it.

The next day we headed to Arches.

We were able to get permits to go through the Fiery Furnace.

Pretty cool place, we did a lot of exploring. This is one of the places

we found.

Wednesday we hiked up Negro Bill's canyon to Landscape Arch.

It was a beautiful hike that went along a creek bed and ended at the arch.

Later that day we got rained out where we were climbing so we
headed up to a place called "the crack" that Rories friend told him about.
It was awesome.

Hick Venture Skiing

Tyler and I climbed a mountain called Lightning Mountain with

Joe about a month ago. It was amazing weather and beautiful

scenery. It was also a very interesting trip since our mode of

transportation consisted of an old farm truck and some really

old snowmobiles which we rode on dirt!

Yep, Dirt! We rode about a mile in dirt and mud.

We had a great time riding in it too.

When we got up to the snow a couple miles back into the trail we
started to get are gear ready and realized we forgot skins for joe.
So the two engineers improvised and used some twine joe had.
Another great use for good ole twine. They worked really well!

Are first sunburn of the summer season! We brought SPF 100
but forgot to put it on. Woops!

Tyler's Graduation!

Tyler graduated with his bachelors degree in
Mechanical Engineering on the 9th of April.
I am sooo proud of him! He has done so well.

This is all the people that graduated from his department.

in general studies. I showed them my name in the handout and they
looked shocked. I guess I forgot to tell them.

Now that Tyler is graduated he is pursuing his real
dream...a white trash ISU fan. He has grown a
really good mustache since this picture was taken and
is growing his hair out for Locks of Love.

In attempt to fix my crooked toes

While we were supposed to be paying attention to
conference, Tyler got a hold of a roll of duct and thought it
would be good to tape my toes straight. The taping got a little out of
hand, then he tickled my feet because he thought it was funny to
watch me be able to try and kick with my feet taped together!
TORTURE!

Ready For Rainier!!

Tyler bought me new long johns and socks for rainier.
I think there pretty cool and colorful! can't lose me now!

Mountains We Have Climbed

Mount Bell- this was a mountain we climbed with the school
during November. We almost made it too the top
but the last part was a little too sketchy for a big group
to climb. Bummer. But it was a good fist winter climb.

Mount Borah! We did this in September! First time climbing
the tallest mountain in Idaho! It was way fun.

The Grand Teton, we climbed this the end of September.
I'm glad I have Tyler to keep me going even when I freaked out.
Maybe I will do better this summer.

Our next mountain we are going to climb......
Mount Rainier! A little higher than 14,000 ft.
Our tallest mountain yet.
Next Christmas- Orizaba, in Mexico....18,000 FEET!!!! AHHHH
