Harvest Time

Tyler and I were blessed with a bountiful harvest this year from our little garden. We actually tore up half of our back lawn to put it in because it was ruined anyways from pulling up the trees that used to be there.

My first season of canning! It was a little overwhelming learning everything, but once you've done it once it is pretty easy.

I canned Pears, Peaches, Applesauce, Tomato Soup, Beans and Salsa.

I also dried tomatoes, apples, and prunes and froze apricots, corn, tomatillos and bell peppers. mmm mmm

It's great to sit down to a meal of stuffed peppers, tomato soup, and other delicious dinners and know it came from your very own garden!

Colors of the Rainbow! We just need purple and blue!

Some things I have learned this summer from being a house wife and stay-at-home mom:

*Weekend campouts and climbing trips are a must for your sanity.

*Canning peaches by yourself is not fun at all.

*Keep your jars far away from the edge of the counter so they don't fall and the lid pops off and you have food all over your carpet.

*Carpet in a kitchen is the worst idea ever, whoever thought of it must have never cooked or had kids.

*Don't hold your 6 month old while dishing up dinner or he'll stick his hand in it, burn it, and get a blister the size of marble.

*When riding bikes make sure and wear glasses that fit your head, or a bee will hit your forehead, fall in between your glasses and eye, get stuck, and sting you.

*Eggplant is actually really good, especially fried and dipped in tomato soup.

*Green tomatoes make a really good tomato soup.

*A bouncer hung in the kitchen is a life saver when your trying to cook.

*Having your baby go diaperless might be cute but the will quickly pee or may even poop on your floor.

Scootin and a laughin

He is starting to Scoot forwards!

This is Talon in his hyper mood, you just look at him and he laughs like crazy. (sorry i'ts crooked)

The Orange Chair Works Again

I love my orange chair! Though I am not a great photography it was fun to pretend to be one. I took my chair out to our corn, dressed talon up and had a photo shoot. I got a few successful pictures though Talon was tired and just wanted to eat the leaves. Attacking the leaf
Trying to decide if he likes it.

This was the only smile I got out of him and he's too far away to see it. I guess I just need more practice.

The

6 Months

Though he hasn't grown much, he has definately changed. Talon now has his two bottom teeth which you can kind of see in this picture, he is starting to scoot/crawl, getting into everything, starting on solid foods, and laughing all the time.

It is a lot harder taking these pictures now because he wants the paper or doesn't want to
stay still. Tryin to crawl!

September

I can't believe september has come and gone! I am having a hard time with it being over. The days are getting shorter and the nights are getting colder. But it's not affecting Talon, he is still happy and growing and learning new stuff everyday. I love this picture of him because it captures his happy fun personality so well. Tyler and I took his teachers quorum camping and took them through the ice caves out in the desert. We had a lot of fun and the boys had a lot of fun, it was fun to see them so excited about everything, they did great with the repelling and ascending. We also had a guy from our ward come and teach them astronomy. The Universe is amazing! my favorite was seeing jupiter and 4 of its moons.

Tyler trying to see what is so exciting about standing in a crib.

Talon's favorite spot in the house- his dresser. He will stand holding onto the handle and top of the drawer forever just talking to himself and reaching for the next drawer. This is the onesie we announced that we were pregnant with Talon, that was over a year ago!

Talon Loves corn. We give him the pieces we have eaten and he gnaws on it.

Notice Talon's feet, there like little balloons! they are so fat and cute. We joke that all his baby fat is in his feet.
