Talon was pretty hyped up after eating his birthday cake. We all sat and watched him go crazy!

1 YEAR!
1 year! Man how time flies! I can't believe it!
We had a party with dinner, presents and cake at Grandma and Grandpa Wheeler's.
Grandma and Grandpa Poole, Aunt Lindsey and Uncle Jake all came up to celebrate.
Talon was a little timid with his cake at first dipping his finger but soon dug in.
Then he crawled all over the table trying to eat everyone else's cake. This is how Talon always stands around, like a gorilla. He is so silly.

Sledding
The First Shot
The Past Month
I realized I haven't updated anything for a month so here are lots of pictures of Talon! He is growing up so fast. This is my favorite picture that I have taken of him this past month. Classic Talon.
This is a great picture showing all of Talon's teeth. He has 6 in total, 4 on top, 2 on bottom. I noticed today another one just popped up on the bottom, so I guess that makes 7.
It has been really warm and nice the past couple of weeks and we have taken full advantage of it. Talon is having soo much fun exploring. I know he is ready for a nap when he is wondering aimlessly in a daze and I pick him up and he instantly falls asleep. He loves being outside.
Yes I watch my kid. Some days this is his favorite place to play, the most dangerous place. Pots full of dirt that can fall, glass that can shatter, pill bottles, a pocket knife and high up on a table.
Talon lately has been loving to stuff as much food in his mouth as possible.
Talon likes to get into my jar that holds my hair pins. One day he decided to stick his hold hand in there and got it stuck. I found him whimpering and banging his hand against the floor.
Talon got a tube for Christmas, we keep it inflated because it is his favorite place to play, and eat in and sometimes fall asleep in.
Playing in the kitchen sink. He played in it Forever!
Cool Hair!
We got home from church and Daddy and Talon crashed. So precious to see this.

New Orleans
Tyler had to go to New Orleans on a business trip for a week. He had some crazy stories about mardi gras and the lifestyle down there. His favorite part was the Mansions down there. They are pretty amazing.
This picture makes me laugh. It was Mardi Gras down there. There is a parade 3 or 4 times in just a week, each one bigger than the next. Some families ( like this one) screw boxes on top of ladders for their kids to sit in so they higher than everyone else and can catch more beads. I don't think it's the safest thing with a crowd of drunk people.
Everyone in the parade was wearing costumes like this. They look like the KKK.

One of the floats! People pay a fee to ride these so they wear a mask, get drunk and throw beads. They had started to strap the people on the floats because they fall off sometimes.
New Orleans and Mardi Gras were quite an experience and one he never wants to do again.
