Talon's 2nd Birthday!

Our little boy is now 2!!!! It is Amazing how fast time flies and how fast he has changed and grown up! We had a fun birthday that had of course a bulldozer cake!

Tyler and I stayed up until 2 a.m. working on this cake because we got home late from taking Talon swimming.  I thought it turned out great!  We used 2 cake mixes and 4 different candy bars.

This was Tyler about 5 minutes after we put the finishing touches on the cake.

Talon LOVED his cake!  I don't think he could decide whether to eat it or play with it.

The only way we got him to eat dinner was we told him he could "blow fire out," which he loves.  He almost blew them out too fast to take a picture and sing the Birthday song.

Talon opened his presents one little piece at a time.

We love our little man and our having so much fun watching him grow up!

Talon's New Hair Cut

Tyler and I are taking an EMT class and one night I rode on the ambulance and Tyler and Talon  had a boy's night.   I came home to this haircut.  Tyler said he was cutting his hair and Talon wanted his cut so He started cutting it and wouldn't let him finish.  Sure!  haha We left it to see the reaction of the grandparent's which they all are not in favor of the new hair but it's grown on us, so we will leave it for a while.

The Last Few Months

Starting off February we took a trip with my parents to Washington for Carter's baptism.  After the long drive Talon rode all around the block on  these fun things!

And I even fit on one and rode with him.

I am so glad we got to come down for Carter's baptism, it was so special.
When Carter got in the water Talon started yelling, "carter, water, carter, carter" and ran out of the room looking for where he got in, when he couldn't find it he ran back in with a very concerned look on his pushing through kids to get to the font until one kid pushed him over.
If the plexiglass wasn't there we would have Maely and Talon swimming!

A walk by the river, Talon and Maely played very well!

Talon loved playing with cousin Carter, Talon wanted to read books with Carter and this is how we found them!  So cute!  We are so glad we got to go see them.

Here are some fun pictures of Talon in his favorite outfit for the day, Cowboy boots and McQueen!

His favorite food for the month, "Logurt."

Grandpa Rick reading Talon books, this is how he read us books.  He holds the kid book up but is really reading out of his book.

Talon's new table, he had to eat dinner on the step stool!

Family pictures with the Wheeler's!

My mom and dad were watching Jack for the weekend so we got to play with Jack while Tyler went ice climbing.  My mom came up on Friday and we went to McDonalds and to Tyler's parents to show Jack the Sheep which he LOVED!  When it was time for  them to leave Talon was devastated, so we went to Pocatello to have more cousin time.  These boys had so much fun!
Sledding with Grandpa and cousin Jack!   These two boys wanted to go again and again.

It was some Crazy sledding!

The Countdown: 31 Weeks

So here is the lovely picture of me at 31 weeks.  I feel great except for my belly gets in the way now and
I definitely pay for it when I do too much.  The baby is moving all the time now, especially from 7-11 pm!
Looks like we are going to have another night owl in our family.

I was reading back to my post when I was this far along with Talon and I said I had the leg
cramps at night.  Not this time YAY!!! So it has been a really easy pregnancy so far.
This picture shows how big I really am.  Some of my friends say my belly looks so cute and fake because it looks like the models you see in the magazines, I will take that as a great compliment because I don't feel that way at all, especially when Tyler comments that I am as big as I was at 38 weeks with Talon.

9 More weeks to go and we will get to meet this little he or she!!!

New Year's Freeze Out Talon Style

So we are done with freeze outs for new year's for awhile while we have little ones, staying in the snow cave with Talon last year was a little much.
This year we decided to stay in a Yurt instead.  This is a high class yurt with TV, Carpet, Hot Chocolate and Popcorn.  It is our friends Lance and Cami Taysom's.  They finished last year and now rent it out as a B&B,  perfect for a fun family get-away or a get-away with your spouse (wink).  Check it out: www.caribouyurt.com

Anyways, we had a great night, eating some amazing potato soup of Cami's, looking at pictures Lance's pictures of his trip to Denali, and of course the YURT!!!

Talon LOVED it!! My mom and Dad were worried he'd get cold and asked him if he wanted to go home with them and he said "NO!"(which he never says no to).  He ran around and around wanting to put wood on the fire, squishing "snowman" that we had tracked in, drinking hot chocolate, eating popcorn, playing with the huge stuffed moose, and of course terrorizing.  He had so much fun he stayed up for the New Year!

Around 10:30 we put Ice Age in to watch to come Talon down and get him to sleep.  This is how he watched the first 15-20 minutes of the movie, hanging off the side of the bed.  The movie wasn't boring enough and he stayed up for the whole thing.

Finally, after midnight, a sleeping Talon

Tyler keeping cozy by the fire!

New Years morning, looks like Talon didn't get enough sleep, imagine that.
Our New Years day consisted of getting stuck in the Taysom's drive and getting pulled out (which Talon loved, thank you Jesse), a big Belgian Waffle breakfast with my parents and Caitlin and Ryan, and hiking and skiing the ski hill.  It was a great way to start off the New Year!

Merry Christmas

The Christmas festivities started by meeting Jessica and Britton in Twin Falls and going to the lights at Rock Creek.  The lights of course were amazing and the kids loved it.  Santa was even there!

Talon and his cousins Carter, Kambree and Maylee.

They loved this little display with stuffed and dolls in it.

Here is the huge camel that they got to feed carrots to.

It finally snowed right before Christmas so the kids could all go sledding!

This is where they had to sled because, good enough right!

A picture of all 6 grandkids (and Aunt Lindsey) enjoying a huge bowl of popcorn.

Playing a game of Disney Scene It.

Christmas Eve we open a Christmas book from Grandma and Grandpa and Grandpa reads it.  This
year the book was "The Christmas Train."

The newest Grandbaby, Isaac.

Christmas Morning!   Talon was really cranky which didn't make it super fun but that's ok.

He loved his Mcqueen Car and didn't really care to open any of his other presents.

All the grandkids got teepees from Grandma and Grandpa!

Maylee got a horse,  it was so fun to which her ride it all morning she was so excited!

The whole family!!!!

Grandma watching Maylee's favorite show Sean the Sheep, which Talon loves too now.  Talon and Maylee are 3 months apart and got into plenty of wrestling matches.

When we went back to Rupert we opened presents at Grandma and Grandpa Wheeler's.

Love this picture!! Merry Christmas everyone!
